Lot, France — Vin de France

Natural wines from the Lot

Two low-intervention cuvées, made by Bruno Jouves from rare and little-known grape varieties, and presented without added sulphites.

The range

A range of natural wines, made in the Lot

Rico’chai is a range of natural wines available in red and white, made by Bruno Jouves in the Lot department of south-western France.

The work is artisanal and low-intervention, with particular attention paid to expressing the character of the grapes and of each vintage.

Both cuvées come from pre-phylloxera clone varieties — Plot, Noual, Valdiguier and Merriele — rare and little-known grapes that give the wines their originality.

The producer

Bruno Jouves

Bruno Jouves works his vines in the Lot, following the fruit rather than a fixed recipe. Rico’chai is the direct expression of that choice: two cuvées, one red and one white, shaped by the grapes and by the vintage.

The approach is deliberately artisanal, with a low-intervention winemaking method and no added sulphites, so that the wine keeps the character it started with.

The wines

Two cuvées, one approach

Red and white, both Vin de France, both 75 cl, both made without added sulphites.

Winemaking

Without added sulphites

Rico’chai is presented as a cuvée made without added sulphites, following a low-intervention winemaking approach.

  • The method aims to preserve the natural expression of the grapes.
  • It also protects the distinctive characteristics of each vintage.
  • Rare and little-known varieties are given room to speak for themselves.
